easy steps to successfully clear the unwanted clutter fro your home and
add a few dollars to your pocket!
- Plan ahead...
Schedule your sale for a weekend- avoid
holidays and special events. Check with neighbors, friends or
family and schedule a block or family garage sale.
- What sells best?... Items like appliances, furniture, cooks,
dishes, utensils, toys and clothes sell the best.
- Priced to move...
Be realistic when pricing, most garage sale
shoppers want a DEAL!! Be prepared to reduce the price to get rid
of items. Generously discount broken, chipped or permanently
stained items.

- Displaying the goods... Provide an electrical outlet for
customers to "test drive" appliances. Display odds - n - ends
together and mark them all 25 cents or set up a free box to stimulate
buyers interest.
- Selling... Set up display signs to flag your best items.
- Advertise... Make sure you have adequate signs and
directions, advertise in local papers to drive your buyers to your sale.
